President’s Spot – September

Hi Everyone,

Back in the country after nearly 6 weeks away in Europe and England, and back to reality! We had a fabulous time revisiting places not seen for many, many years and reacquainting ourselves with friends and relations. In our absence I am delighted to discover all the things that have been happening whilst we’ve been away.

“Sunshine” has been well received by our audiences, thanks to some excellent direction from our newest director, Tim Riessen and the performances of cast and crew – well done to all of you!

David Nelson, apart from starring in “Sunshine” and co-directing “Wedding Singer”, stepped up to chair the August meeting as Vice President, and by all accounts did a great job. I’m sure all of the committee have been playing their various roles, but I’d like to especially thank Jane Anderson who has been acting as Secretary as well as Membership Secretary and busy at front of house, and also Jen Edwards for continuing in the huge role of Treasurer of the group whilst co-directing our end of year season – thanks to everyone!

The theatre is very busy rehearsing two productions at the moment and hosting other events such as a children’s choir, a sundowner for the ITA and Dean Martin! We really do have something for everyone – so I’ll see you at the theatre.
