The Viewing Room

A comedy by Mark Edward Smith
Directed by Tim Riessen

Saying good-bye to the dearly departed has never been so funny in this comedy set in the viewing room of a
Holyoke, MA funeral home. When an estranged son returns home after years away, you’ll be surprised by who gets
the last word. The show centres around a stern patriarch who has recently passed away before he’s had a chance to
make amends with his very dysfunctional family. The play – while loaded with laughs – is timeless due to its themes
of reconciliation and family.

Performance Dates: September 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 at 7.30pm
and Sunday 21st September matinee at 2pm

Bookings Open: Thursday 10th July, 2025 at 7pm
Ticket prices – Standard

Step into the mind of young Mary Shelley, where monsters are born and creators are haunted.

As she pens her ground breaking novel, Frankenstein unfolds around her, blurring the line between imagination and reality.

This bold stage adaptation by Rona Munro breathes new life into the gothic classic, reminding us why Shelley’s chilling tale endures through the ages.

Tick, Tick… Boom! is a semi-autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of Rent. Set in 1990, it follows Jon, a struggling composer approaching his 30th birthday, grappling with his dreams of writing the next great American musical.
As he faces mounting pressure from his girlfriend Susan, who wants to settle down, and his best friend Michael, who has traded artistic ambition for financial stability, Jon questions whether pursuing his passion is worth the sacrifices.
Through witty songs and heartfelt monologues, Tick, Tick… Boom! explores themes of love, friendship, ambition, and the fear of running out of time. It’s a poignant celebration of creativity and the perseverance required to follow one’s dreams.
