Our Sunday performance on the 22nd is already proving quite popular with bookings, so PLEASE don’t leave it to the last minute to book as again we need to make sure our catering is adequately covered.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank two of our committee members who have had to step down from their roles.
Carryn McLean, who has been our props manager and secretary, whilst being an active member of both Wanneroo Rep and Stirling Players, has handed over the role of secretary to Jane Anderson, but continues to do a great job looking after our props—Thank you Carryn. I’d also like to thank, on behalf of the committee and members,
Mike Gibbs for the hours and hours of time he has dedicated to the theatre in these past years both as committee member and president. Although we take on these voluntary roles willingly, we all have a life and a family beyond the theatre and sometimes the balance is difficult to maintain. Mike has been an excellent president, and we shall miss his clear vision and gentle manner.—Thank you Mike.

Hi Everyone
As you’ll see elsewhere in the newsletter, we’ve now finalised our seasons for next year and what an interesting year it promises to be. With a mix of old and new directors and productions its going to be a great year. Although we haven’t got our traditional musical seasons this year (we can only put on what you submit!!) I think the school production of Grease and the musical written by local author John McPherson both offer a really exciting window into where we might be headed in the future.
During the last month we’ve had the Great Australian Garage Sale, at which we made over $600. I’d like to thank everyone who helped out, but especially Jane Anderson who organised such a successful event.
You will also see elsewhere that we have scheduled the awards night for January 21st next year at the theatre. I think a night with the Kalamunda Swing Band will be awesome and represents something new for the biggest night of our year. Please put the date in your diaries and look out for more information coming soon.
You may have heard that I’ve decided to resign as President due to personal circumstances. I’d like to thank all members for their support over the last three and a half years, and especially thank all those committee members who have given their time and effort over that period. I believe the theatre is in really good shape at the moment. We have a business plan, we have a new website, a new booking system and a great year of productions scheduled so it’s really important that we all pull together in the same direction to continue the good work.
Finally, I know Alan Brock and his cast and crew have been working really hard to bring us our final season of the year, Blitz. So please show your support and get your tickets soonest
All the best and I’m sure Lorretta and I will see you around the theatre in the future.
Mike Gibbs
