The final show for 2018 at the Limelight Theatre will be a celebration of Academy Award winning songs, devised and directed by Gillian Binks, “The Envelope Please” is a phrase which reminds us of the excitement of the Academy Awards, arguably one of the most popular entertainment awards ceremonies in the world. In 1934 a new category was introduced and an Oscar was awarded to the Best Original Song featured in a film. The movies weren’t always winners but the songs that came from them were often fabulous little pieces of history, many of which have become classics. We will present, in song and dance, numbers from “Lullaby of Broadway” and “Over the Rainbow” in the 30’s to “Beauty and the Beast” and “Let it Go”.

Children (under 13) – $15, Matinee – $5 additional for afternoon tea.
