Have you been thinking about directing in 2027?
Do you want to direct a play or musical?
Or a one act play?
Wanneroo Repertory is calling for submissions from anyone interested in directing a production during 2027.
But, before you rush off and send through a script, please consider the following:
- Can I get a team to assist: i.e. stage manager, sound, music director?
- Are the performance rights available? in Australia?
- What time of the year do I want to have the performances?
- Can I direct a production?
- Can I get the people to cast a production?
The club can, and will, provide assistance but you will have to show that you can direct your submission.
You can peruse the offerings at Origin Theatrical, MTI Shows Australia, or David Spicer and request a perusal copy of the script and music.
If you want to make a submissions, click here to email a submission and provide:
- A PDF copy of the script (be aware of copyright rules regarding this inclusion)
- A brief resume about your community theatre history
- List your support team, in particular the music director if submitting a musical
- When you would like to perform
The club has 5 regular productions, generally in February, May, July, September and November.

Submissions close May 31st with all people who submitted a production being advised on outcome mid July.
You must be available for the 2027 Season Launch event on 24th October 2026.
