Synopsis
Written by John Grimshaw
A Fairytale of Sorts takes us back in time to the medieval village of Patridgedale, where we join a youthful gang of village peasants as they await the arrival of the visiting storyteller, who much to their disappointment is the only form of entertainment available on this “Holiday” Monday. Somewhat unimpressed by the stories on offer, the peasants set about convincing the storyteller that he should tap into his imagination, and concoct an adult fairytale containing all the classic fairytale elements.

A Playwright of Sorts
Johnny Grim is a local (if Rivervale can be described as local) playwright. Johnny makes his debut for Wanneroo Rep with his madcap “Fairytale of Sorts”. When quizzed as to where he gets his ideas from, Johnny confesses he hasn’t a clue, but suspects that he merely channels material on behalf of dearly departed comedians!
